Last Light

During a recent trip to Brazil I was treated to a sunset visit to a tidal mangrove forest where seahorses were known to thrive. Although they were the advertised feature of the excursion (and I did hold briefly-captured seahorses in a jar!), the real headline for me was the spectacular sunset I was privileged to witness. Look closely at the center of this painting and you'll see the brilliant blaze of orange reflecting off the water's surface, just as I experienced during that magical evening's Last Light.
